Farmhouse Cascina Del Forte, which offers B&B service, dates to the early 19th century. It has recently been finely renovated in full respect of the original features of the building and of the local architecture.
The farmhouse is located on the Collina del Forte, which separates Val Pellice from Val d'Angrogna; it is in one of the most panoramic and picturesque spots of the entire region.
A woodland of centuries-old chestnut trees, with its delicious fruit, is a favourite habitat for squirrels and roe deer.
The Farmhouse Cascina Del Forte has 8 rooms, comprising 4 twin/double rooms, 2 twin/double rooms + single bed, and two double-twin/double rooms.
As with the reception areas, all the rooms have been carefully furnished using period furniture and elegant fabrics to give each one a special atmosphere.
A large and welcoming breakfast room looks onto a broad terrace facing the wood. It is the perfect place to savour the jams and sweets prepared by the landlady.
On the 1st floor, guests will feel at home in the large lounge, complete with books, board games and the warmth of a large fireplace in winter.
The 70sq.m games room can also be used to welcome groups that want to hold courses or meetings and such like.
The garden of the Farmhouse Cascina Del Forte has a swimming pool for pleasurable moments of relaxation.
The Cascina del Forte is run by Carla and Francesco, experts in outdoor and river sports.
After ten years of work with their Free Flow kayak school on the most beautiful rivers of Europe, and countless kayaking expeditions to all five continents, they have decided to settle down with their two children, Matteo and Luca, in Carla's family home.
Throughout the year, the Farmhouse Cascina Del Forte offers guests the chance to come closer to outdoor sports. We have simple graded courses for novices, which are carried out in total safety, whereas more advanced sportspeople will be able to measure themselves against increasing difficulties, always under the watchful eye of our highly-qualified staff.
We also organize splendid walks and mountain-bike outings on our mountain paths, along routes fitted with safety ropes, and to the historical sites of the Waldensian Valleys; in winter we go for excursions in the snow using snowshoes.
Our games room, with its large windows looking onto the valley, is the perfect venue for courses of various sorts, from cookery to yoga, painting to DIY, dancing, singing, acting, and much more.
The Farmhouse Cascina Del Forte, with its large rooms, splendid garden, swimming pool, and east-facing terrace, is the ideal venue for all types of ceremonies and events.
It is a marvelous setting for wedding receptions and baptisms, work meetings and vernissages
