The building where the hotel is placed is a XVIII century's palace and used to be the residence of Cardinal Sisto Riario Sforza, the last Bishop of the Bourbon Kingdom of Naples.
In the common areas of the hotel you can find typical Neapolitan tiled floors with ancient pieces of hand-painted "maiolica", a luxurious Baroque-style hall with painted ceiling and all walls covered with mirrors and golden "stuccos".
Moreover, in some rooms there are high ceilings with wood hand-painted rafters, groin vaults or coffer ceilings and precious period pieces of furniture.
Decumani Hotel de Charme is the First Cultural Hotel of Naples and it is located in the city centre of Naples, named by UNESCO "the biggest open-air museum in the world"
