   The outstanding feature of la veduta is it's poison in relation to the sea. Sitting on the balcony, you are literally over the water crashing on the rocks below. Scilla is a town of 2 parts. There is the upper section set high on a cliff overlooking the sea, then there is the lower section set on the sea. The lower section seems nicer,well served by restaurants set right on the sea. Breakfast was also lovingly prepared and delicious.

   These are comments as opposed to being dissatisfied. Although le veduta is a b&b the owner does not live there, so you need to phone to arrange access when arriving. This caused a little confusion when we arrived, but all was put right once we were shown our lovely room. The other is the bathroom is located in another room on the other side of the common stair well, so it is a bit of a dash in the middle of the night, not that this caused us any problem. The good side of this is that they have not tried to squeeze a bathroom into the bedroom, so both rooms are quite large.

   We really enjoyed our stay at La Veduta B & B. The proprietors are wonderful, friendly people. The hotel is in a perfect location. It is quiet, serene, and beautiful. We had amazing front row seats to the sea! Breakfast is substantial, bathroom is huge. I give it straight A's.

   It is not often that you arrive at a place based on photos and reviews and then are completely overwhelmed because it exceeds your expectations. La Veduta is one such place in every respect. Location, room comfort, cleanliness and decor could not have been better. Our hosts, Nela and her husband, affectionately known as Michealangelo, were warm and incredibly hospitable. Nela's breakfasts were yummy! My sister and I stayed at La Veduta for three nights, were fortunate to meet another couple (who were American!) and enjoyed every minute of our time there. I highly recommend LaVeduta if you are visiting Scilla.

   The owners were great! Speak very little English - But we could communicate fine. Breakfast is fresh and almost all homemade. The best croissants in all of Italy! You cannot beat the view from the room, and our bathroom was huge for Italy standards. I would defiantly recommend and stay again.

   Friendliness of our hosts, good breakfasts. Very comfortable room with excellent shower. Great position - water lapping under our balcony at night. Excellent restaurants a short walk away
