   We had a very pleasant stay at the B&B San Placido, a heaven of peace and tranquility in the very interesting and beautiful but noisy Catania! Spacious room, tidy bathroom and very kind owners!

Bed & Breakfast San Placido is a prestigious attic, at the 4th floor of an 18th century building in the heart of the historical centre, at the back of the Cathedral Square.

Our B&B recalls the atmosphere of 'grandmother's house': the woody furniture, the handcraft ceramics, the typical Sicilian objects, all speaks about tradition, history, love for simple life of old times.

Bed and Breakfast San Placido is provided with a modern lift and 2 wide 10sq.m terraces, where you can bask in the sun, have your meals open doors and above all enjoy a wonderful landscape with view on the sea, overlooking Etna and the historical centre.

Our rooms are wide, bright, quiet, with a marvelous view. Some of them look directly over the sea and all of them have an en-suite bathroom.

The rooms of B&B San Placido are endowed with TV, fridge and air conditioning.
The comfortable kitchen in brickwork with two cooking planes allows to prepare the meals in perfect autonomy.

Our Bed and Breakfast is glad to have you as guests in a friendly and familiar atmosphere. Valentina, the owner, is graduated in foreign languages and runs the business. She has a considerable experience in the touristic field.

Bed and Breakfast San Placido is always open to those who want to visit and know the other Sicily, the authentic one, the young, 'genuine' and friendly Sicily.

It is 5km from the airport, 1km from the railway-station and 100m from the sea, right in the heart of the commercial, cultural, historical centre of the city.

The strategic position of our home allows to have at hand both the most interesting architectural monuments and the widest range of offers for the spare time, shopping and entertainments.
