Sole del Sodo is a small and comfortable Bed & Breakfast with 6 charming rooms where you can sleep, rest and relax surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Located beneath the walls of the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona - just 2 km from the center - the B&B is named after the neighborhood (Sodo) and the sun (Sole) that warms it up the whole day.
The structure of the B&B Sole del Sodo is made up of an old farmhouse dating back to the 1800 with rooms, individually decorated and all with private bathroom.
The guest rooms are elegantly furnished in a style that blends perfectly with the country classic modern pieces, make guests feel part of a special atmosphere thanks to the original enlightenment thought and re-created during the restoration of the house.
Breakfast is served in the large Hall of pasta - named after the wonderful original pasta machine of the early twentieth century - or in your room upon request...from 8:30 to 11:00am! Incredible!
In creating the breakfast menu Claudia was inspired by the tradition that characterizes the best B&B she visited around the world. Enjoy the different flavors accompanied by a great coffee or cappuccino, fragrant teas and fruit juices:
- Classic Flavors: consists of a variety of breads, jams, yogurt, corn flakes and fruit .- sweet flavors: with a wide selection of cakes, cookies and pastries made daily with fresh produce. A memorable apple pie.
- Brunch Flavors: eggs, ham, cheese and sausages in the area. Buns and bread to accompany. Excellent!
A resort with pool and flower-filled courtyard, Bed & Breakfast Il Sole del Sodo, and is also an excellent base for exploring the valleys and towns near Cortona. And when you return you can enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine and a plate of local products to entertain you.
