Farmhouse - Villa Rosa

Farmhouse Villa Rosa is a 300-years-old farmhouse which has been fully restored and looks out over farmland across to the villages of Solomeo and Corciano and Perugia in the distance.

It is a short walk from the village of Montemelino which is tiny but boasts an excellent, reasonably-priced restaurant. Farmhouse Villa Rosa also has a salt water swimming pool available for the enjoyment of all our guests.

There are wonderful walks in the area as the property backs onto a forest. Walk to the top of the hill and you will be rewarded with a breathtaking 360° view of the area - from Lake Trasimeno around to Perugia and Assisi in the distance. Horse riding is also available.

Farmhouse Villa Rosa offers accommodation in a cottage (La Casetta) and 2 apartments (Il Gelsomino e Le Rose).

'La Casetta' cottage (95sq.m) is a smaller version of our own home and consists of 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin/double), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen/dining/sitting room with fireplace and a study area with twin beds (can be made as a double). So it accommodates up to 6 people and has a large terrace which looks out over the view of the valley.

The cottage has been restored to a very high standard, combining the old-style charm of wooden beams, old brick floors and an open fire with high-tech comforts such as a Jacuzzi spa bath, air conditioning, heating, a dishwasher, satellite TV and a video recorder.

'Il Gelsomino' apartment (75sq.m) is a flat situated on the ground floor of Farmhouse Villa Rosa and provides spacious accommodation for 4 people. There is a huge fully equipped kitchen area with an island bench. At the other end of the room there is a sitting room with TV (and bunk beds). Meals can be eaten on stools at the kitchen bench, at a table in this large room or outside on the terrace which opens directly off the kitchen, has beautiful views of the valley across to Perugia and is very private. There is a bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom (with tub and shower overhead). It also has wonderful views of the valley and our garden.

'Le Rose' apartment (65sq.m – 3 pax) is situated on the 1st floor of the Farmhouse Villa Rosa and has a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a bathroom with bathtub and shower and a fully-equipped modern kitchen opening onto a private outdoor eating area which looks out over the garden, the pool and the hills beyond.

'Il Sole' is a charming apartment for two people, "Il Sole" is situated in the old barn opposite the main farmhouse. It has a modern, well-equipped kitchen opening directly onto a private terrazza with a BBQ area which boasts a fantastic view over the valley towards Perugia, Solomeo and Agello. There is a pretty double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. The bedroom also opens onto a large panoramic terrazza. The apartment has satellite TV, DVD and plenty of books in English.
