   Luigi was very accommodating and helpful with picking us up from the train station when we arrived with all of our bags and our ten month old baby. He was very warm in receiving us and showed us good local restaurants and sites on the map. Viewing the New Years fireworks across the entire 'bowl' of Sorrento and surrounds from the balconies of our flat was a memory we will never forget. Meta is a quiet town just outside of the tourist trap of Sorrento and the grit of Naples. The flat is conveniently close to the metro station for easy access to Sorrento, Pimpeii, etc. and you don't have to walk more than four doors down for pizza or light groceries. We recommend hiking up into the hillside above Meta for a beautiful view.

   I stayed here with my sister for two weeks,last week in april,1st week in may 2010. we had room 14 on the 1st floor, which was a nice big room. The double glazing and the shutters were great! The balcony was a bit small as we could not get both chairs and a the table on it at the same time!Luigi is really lovely,kind and helpful and suggested a few places for us to visit.There was no literature or "tourist information" in the room. Meta is a great base to visit places on the sorrento peninsula.Vico Equense is worth a visit but don't bother with Naples,it is a very dirty place.The station in Meta is about 5 mins down the hill so you don't need to hire a car, you can easily get around by bus and train.We found everything very expensive, especially Capri.The blue grotto is really not worth 11.50 euros,on top of the round the island boat trip at 14 euros!

   Just afew small niggles but nothing you can't live with, there was no kettle so we had to boil up water in a pan on the hob which took about 20mins so you have to wait a while for your cuppa! Also, people came into the room above us in the second week and had their breakfast sitting at the table at 7am each morning, we know this as we were woken by them scraping their chairs on the marble floor above us!- rather annoying as we like a lie-in on holiday! Maybe worth taking Luigi some sticky pads to put on the feet
   of the chiairs if you are on a low floor! We also noticed a very strong"drain smell" in the bathroom during the second week, which again may have had something to do with the fact we had people above us and were probably at the end of the "drain run!" . But as I say, it was a really lovely room and I am being really picky! as these really small points really did not spoil our hoilday in any way and I would certainly recommend this accomodation to you,we would certainly stay there again.

   The owner, who lived on the premises, was a very pleasant and helpful person. The views from our top floor windows and from the roof-terrace gave a panoramic impression of the locality. The town of Meta is not particularly affected by tourism. However, the proximity of the house to the station of the local train system allows for easy access to all towns on of the Bay of Naples. In Naples, we only met helpfulness from the local people

   The apartment and the location was extremely good. In advance we were anxious that the railway and the road behind the house would generate some noise. It was not at all the case. The apartment was very quiet. Luigi was charming and the perfect host.

   Gute Verkehrsverbindungen, nahe an der Bus- und Schnellbahnhaltestelle. Trotzdem ruhig und leise. Von den oberen Ferienwohnungen ein wunderschöner Ausblick auf Sorrento und das Meer.

   We arrived on Sunday and should have had a cell phone to be picked up.It was quite a climb with luggage. However, Luigi took us to the train when we were leaving. Our place was very large and certainly was satisfying. We enjoyed the walk to the train station and stopped at the local store for supplies on the way back. Cheese factory across the street. It was nice to be in a quiet spot away from hordes of people.

   The apartment was close to shops and 15 mins to beach.The train station was 5 mins walk so you dont really need a car.The trains arrive on time and there are lots of them.The apartment was very spacious with airconditioning and a great view of the sea and surrounding areas.It was well equiped for cooking your favourite italian dishes.

   The bathroom was too small and being so hot in sorrento this should be the most functional room in the apartment.
