   Die Wohnung befindet sich nah am See in zentraler Lage.

   Die Wohnung befindet sich nicht, wie angegeben, im 1. Stock, sondern es ist eine dunkle Parterrewohnung. Das Haus befindet sich vom See aus in der 3. Reihe. Somit gibt es keinen freien Seeblick. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer (durch eine verglaste Tür) geht auf eine vier Meter entfernte Häuserfront. Der erwähnte Balkon befindet sich neben der Treppe, die dem öffentlichen Verkehr dient. Der Wohn-Schlaf-Küchenbereich (alles in einem Raum) hat außer der Eingangstür kein weiteres Fenster, sondern nur eine kleine Lüftungsklappe.
   Bei unserer Ankunft waren in der Wohnung nur 16°C. . Die Gasheizung, mit der die Wohnung beheizt wurde, verbrauchte rasch den Sauerstoff.

   We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Not only was it a lovely, fully equipped apartment, but the location couldn't have been better (for the price). Sure, we could have spent 3-4 times as much per night on a hotel room with balcony overlooking the lake. However this apartment was located on the #1 most picturesque sidestreet in Varenna. Centrally located with only a short climb, we were steps away from the upper level of town (the piazza, shops & etc) and only steps down to the central part of the harbor and it's restaurants. We had informed the owners, Maria & Pietro, when our train would arrive. They met us at the station and drove us the short way to the piazza. Then Maria, a very nice lady, showed us around the town, and got us settled in for our stay. She speaks only a bit of English, but we were able to communicate easily. The bed was comfortable, the apartment clean, with a washing machine, satellite TV, and a kitchen. We had a nice patio to sit on, and look at the lake with our glass of wine. This is a real bargain in an area with very few of them.

   Perfetto!

Holiday Apartment Annina House is a lovely apartment located in Varenna, an elegant village on the shore of Italy's Lake of Como.

The beauty of the place is clearly evident in its ancient buildings, its romantic views, its impressive nature.

Holiday Apartment Annina House is composed of an entrance, a living room with double sofa bed, LCD-TV, DVD, Satellite TV, kitchen with refrigerator, stovetop, oven electric grill and microwave.

The house is attentively furnished and served by a bathroom with toilet, shower, bidet, washing machine.

A distinctive feature of Varenna is the mildness of the climate, which is proved by the olive trees, the cypress trees and other botanic species typical of the lake.

Thanks to its special exposure, leant to the mountain, the village is facing south and west, so it is sunny and warm till late in the evening.
