   Wir waren begeistert von der herzlichen und unaufdringlichen Gastfreundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft unserer Gastgeber Maria und Pietro. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig, man las uns die Wünsche förmlich von den Augen ab. Zimmer und Bad wurden peinlich sauber gehalten, Wäsche und Handtücher einige Male gewechselt, das Bett war groß und gemütlich. Trotz mancher Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten haben wir uns großartig unterhalten und verstanden und sind als Freunde geschieden.

   Einziger Nachteil des Hauses war seine Nähe zu einer stark befahrenen Straße, was aber durch die o.g. Details mehr als kompensiert wurde.

   Apartement war sehr ordentlich und sauber, sehr umfangreich und liebevoll das Frühstück. Die Wirtsleute sind sehr zuvorkommend!

   Das Haus liegt direkt an der Uferstraße, die sehr stark befahren ist und dementsprechend laut ist es in den Zimmern, besonders in den frühen Morgenstunden.
   Man kann detailierte Infos nicht in deutsch erhalten- leider. (z.B. Buchung einer Segelbootstour)

   The owners Maria and Pietro were very friendly and helpful and gave us valuable suggestions for excursions.

   The breakfast was good but more fresh bread (wholemeal) would be appreciated.

   The breakfast was rich.

   The location of the place is on the main road so it is dangerous to enter or to exit from the B.B. During all the time (4 nights) they didn't change the towels.

   Sehr nette Gatsgeber, tolle Lage direkt am See, rundum empfehlenswert.

   Durch die vielen e-mails von bb planet im Vor- und Nachhinein fühlt man sich doch belästigt. Ich würde das an Ihrer stelle reduzieren, da man davon ausgeht, das das Zimmer verfügbar ist, wenn man es reserviert und eine Anzahlung geleistet hat.

   The owners were very hospitable and tried their best to be helpful despite the language barrier (our poor Italian and their basic English). The location is beautiful and right next to the lake in peaceful Olcio. We were lucky enough to stay in the top floor studio apartment even though we only paid and booked for the B&B. However, all the room looked nice and the place was nicer than you would expect from the photos. A computer with free internet access in the shared living space was a bonus.

   Perhaps more suitable for people travelling by car. Although Olcio has a bus stop and a train station, connections are not ideal. There is only one or two buses a day and the trains enjoy a midday siesta with the last train at eight in the evening.

   The hosts are very friendly and happy to help in any way they can. Lake is over the road.

   You really need a car to catch a ferry or go to the town. Walkiing is a long way.

   English - Spanish and German Comments: We had three amazing days at Frontelago and everything perfectly corresponds to what they did offer. María and Pietro are great people, very promt to help us and guide us in every possible question. The room was big, very spacious, clean, the bed was soooo confortable, we had a balcony to read with a beautiful view! the bathroom was neat, breakfast were awesome (salami, ham, cheese, orange juice, paestry, crunchy bread, yogurt, and more) There is also a kitchen one can use anytime for making tee. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank you so much María and Pietro. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pasé tres dias preciosos en el hospedaje. Puedo dar fé que uno recibe exactamente (¡y más!) lo que se ofrece. La sra María y el sr Pietro son personas maravillosas, siempre atentas y muy, muy amables. La habitación que tuvimos fue amplia, espaciosa, muy limpia, con una cama gigante y muy cómoda. ¡Esta tenía aún balcón con sillas para leer! El baño muy limpio y cuidado, los desayunos deliciosos, con salami, panecillos crujientes, queso, mermeladas, yogurt, cereales, café, dulces y biscochos, yummmy! Se puede usar la cocina para preparar té o la refri para guardar cosas. Definitivamente recomendaría este lugar. Gracias María y Pietro. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Der Aufenthalt bei Maria und Piedro war so angenehm wie herzlich. Die Unterbringung ist wirklich hervorragend und die Lage perfekt: Direkt am Ufer gelegen ist man in wenigen Minuten (8 km) ist man in Varenna, von wo aus man bequem mit den Faehren den gesamten Lago di Como erkunden kann. Ferner kann man vom Balkon aus die Halbinsel rund um Belaggio erkennen und am Morgen den Fischern zusehen. Sehr angenehm ist ausserdem die Moeglichkeit vor der Tuer zu parken. Maria und Piedor haben ausserdem jederzeit nuetzliche Tips parat! Beim naechsten Besuch werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder bei Maria und Piedro wohnen.

   Bed & breakfast 'frontelago' is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The owners, Pietro and Maria, treat you like real kings. They give you all the information you want and Maria is also an excellent cook. The b &b is situated right in front of the lake, so every morning you wake up with a stunning view. The village is very small, but that is not a problem since there is a train station within 500 meters from te b&b. I stayed in Frontelago with two girlfriends and we had the best holiday we could wish for! Real Italian atmosphere, extremely friendly people, beuatiful views and great food!

   One of the best B&B on our 21 days trip, excellent breakfast with wonderfull and caring hosts. The house/rooms are really comfortable. We stayed on the bunk bed one, it has a terrace w/shower, we enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended. Ask the host about the little home-restaurant , outstanding food $13/person euros all included.walking ditance.
