   The Casa del Ficus is a well run establishment. Its manager and his family are courteous and informative. We arrived late in the evening and were pleased when a staff member volunteered to go out and get us a "pizza"(for which he refused payment). I would recommend it without reservation.

   The location is excellent from the point of view of touring the eastern coast, Mount Etna, Taormina etc. However the approach to the Casa del Ficus is through the straggling suburbs of an unttractive village and while i would not say that this "did not satisfy us", it certainly makes the place a little difficult to find and first impression of the location are a little negative. Once inside all is well!

Bed and Breakfast La Casa del Ficus is a private villa located in the green citrus groves a short distance from the sea (1.5 km) from the volcano, situated in Guardia Mangano, a hamlet of Acireale (CT).

The distance from the town is 200 meters. and the country was the main services (supermarket, pharmacy, newsagent, post office, etc...)

Bed and Breakfast La Casa del Ficus has been recently renovated (March 2003) with the use of materials typical Sicilian as lava stone and brick cottage.

The 4 rooms available to the guests, located in a large attic and independent, enjoy a spacious living room which can be served, on request, breakfast.

Activities available near the B&B Casa del Ficus are organized in localities sea (few km), excursions to Mount Etna (20 minutes by car), visits the cities of art (Acireale, Acitrezza, Catania, Taormina).
