   A terrific place to stay in Rome. Convenient (a less-than-10-minute walk to the Colosseum), but located in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of Laterano. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Aldo is a wonderful host. We will stay here again on our next visit to Rome.

   Aldo the owner is a really nice guy who was very helpful with all aspects of our stay helping with recommendations on restaurants, sightseeing tips and providing guidebooks/maps/etc. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and tidy and sits in a great location just a couple of minutes from the colloseum. Highly recommended!

   This B&B was excellent. We have never stayed in a cleaner room and a better bed. The bathroom was also very godd. The owner Aldo was extremely service minded. He helped us with the planning of our excursions and also with getting our lost suitcase. He went to the B&B in the middle of the night to receive it. The breakfast was quite OK.

   The only minor thing was that there were no English spoken TV channel but hundreds of Italian channels.

   La Finestra Sul Colosseo is a charming B&B well located 5 minutes from the Colosseum. We wanted to stay away from the big or chain hotels in Rome for a more casual experience, and La Finestra Sul Colosseo fit the bill. The proprietor, Aldo, is a great guy. Very charming and helpful, he took time to point out all sorts of attractions and restaurant recommendations on a helpful map of Rome which he provided for us. He even set up a car service for us for our return to the airport. We walked all over Rome and never felt that our B&B was too far away from anything. Our room was clean and inviting, the continental breakfast was perfect, and the experience as a whole was delightful. I highly recommend this B&B for people looking for a different kind of experience in Rome.

   It was odd that the balance of our bill had to be paid in cash because Aldo can't processes credit cards, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. I just went to the ATM and paid him before we left. Very casual, but that was part of the fun. We didn't seem like tourists so much as we felt like his personal guests.

   There was a slight misunderstanding about the date of our stay but everything was very competently and helpfully solved. Our room was lovely and clean and exactly as it looked on the website. We found the owner/manager very friendly and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this small but appealing b&b. Breakfast was a continental one- also very good, with fresh coffee, croissants etc, set in a small but well decorated and homely kitchen/dining room. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this place which is so very close to the coliseum.
