   This was a lovely place to stay in easy reach of Vinci and Cerreto Guidi and environs. The garden area and pool are lovely. The staff (especially in the office) were very willing to help. This was good as there were many things we had to ask for - like the remote for the air-conditioner and clean towels and bottles of water - all of which which were readily provided when asked for. The kitchenette was also badly stocked but this was not a problem for us as we were delighted to sit in the garden and enjoy the extensive long dinner offered by the restaurant.

   This place is noisy - from crowing roosters at dawn the the farm workers arriving at 7. Our room was above the kitchen so there was a lot of banging of pots and pans till about midnight. When the air-conditioner was on, this was not a problem. Not all rooms have air-conditioning. Bring mosquito deterrent.

   Fina och välstädade rum. Jätte trevlig personal och mycket god middag. Fin gård med vacker utsikt.

   Till frukost serverades nog så mycket söta bröd. Saknade pålägg, som skinka eller ost, ev ägg och yogurt.

   We recently spent 2 weeks visiting Italy and Greece and our evening at Il Piastrino was a highlight of the trip. After several days in the big city of Rome, Il Piastrino was a beautiful and welcome change of pace. Daniella and her family were very warm and gracious. Dinner was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed dining with their family and other guests. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

   We as a family were on holiday in Italy. As a part of our program we decided to explore Tuscani and wanted a feel of the countryside & hence our plan to stay at the farmhouse. We drove from Rome and reached Vinci well past 10pm. We did seem to loose our way, but one phonecall to the farmhouse and help was on way to escort us from the town centre back to the farmhouse. And the interesting part was our conversationwas that we didnt know Italian & the farmhouse family were not proficient in English. Yet we were able to communicate effectively. They were very hospitable & went out of the way to ensure that the guests at the farmhouse were comfortable. When we reached the farmhouse & told them that we havent had dinner & even though the kitchen was closing, they sprang into action and prepard a hot meal for all of us. And the wine that I requested was not charged - even though I insisted on paying. We had a wonderful stay at farmhouse.

   The appartment should be better furnished with cups, glass, cutlery,...things you need for cooking. Otherwise no problem.
