Mein Aufenthalt war insofern besonders, da ich studienbedingt 4 Wochen in Sardinien verbracht habe und somit fast einen ganzen Monat im Bed and Breakfast Oliena gewohnt habe. Ich habe den Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft sehr genossen. Die Besitzer sind stets um größtmöglichen Komfort bemüht, der persönliche Kontakt ist herzlich, jedoch ist man als Gast absolut unabhängig und bekommt zusammen mit dem Zimmerschlüssel auch einen Schlüssel zur Eingangstür ausgehändigt. Die Zimmer sind groß, hell und gut gepflegt. Die Bäder sind durchweg mit Dusche, WC und Bidet ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das angebotene Frühstück entspricht absolut dem typisch italienischen Frühstück (Brötchen, Butter, Marmelade, Joghurt, Kaffee, Tee). Eine Mitbenutzung des frei zugänglichen Kühlschranks im Frühstücksraum ist möglich. Das Bed and Breakfast liegt zentral in Oliena, aber noch außerhalb des Gassengewirrs der Altstadt und ist somit leicht zu finden und mit dem Auto problemlos anzufahren. Die Lage erlaubt abendliche Stadtbummel genauso wie das schnelle Erreichen der Ausfallstraßen, zweier Tankstellen und eines kleinen Supermarktes. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Supramontegebiet von Oliena, sowie im nahen Valle Lanaittu und auch in der Umgebung von Dorgali (ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto) ist Oliena perfekt.

The B&B was beautifully restored and decorated and very well kept, and it stood out from the other buildings in the street. Its hosts were extremely welcoming. Oliena is in a beautiful location, clinging to the slopes of an amazing mountain (Mt Corrasi). The nearby Su Gologone springs are lovely.

Oliena as a town is dead, and it seemed impossible to find a restaurant to eat in the evening. It does not cater for tourists and does not seem to have a centre, but lots of steep streets with a few shops dotted around. Although quaint, I would not recommend it as a centre from which to have a holiday. We only stayed one night before heading off to the coast for a week.
